Hindi Cell
The Hindi Cell submits a quarterly report in the prescribed format to the council and uploads it to the Rajbhasha Vibhag website of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The quarterly meeting of the Official Language Implementation Committee was conducted under the chairmanship of the Director, ICAR-CIARI, to promote the effective and extensive use of Hindi in our institute. Additionally, the Hindi Cell is involved in translation and typing-related tasks for our institute as needed. It also monitors the proper functioning of "Aajka Shabd" in the Library, ATIC Building, and office building.
ITMU Cell
ITMU Cell through ITMC shortlisted technologies/varieties having potential for commercialisation such as CIARI Dhan varieties: 5, 6&7, CIARI HansGreens, CIARI Bio Consortia, CIARI Gropro, and CIARI Micro.Technology on “Preparation of calcium alginate (phyco-colloid) from brown seaweed’’ has been applied for patent and the first examination report for the patent application on “Novel composition for herbal acaricide and its process thereof” was responded through required documents. Two technologies were commercizlized viz. Dweep HanGreens to Shri. Nishant Naskar, Swaraj Dweep, South Andaman and Dweep Micro to M/s. EID Parry (Ind.) Ltd, Nanjai Pugalur, Tamil Nadu.The technology on Trimodel Therapy to Treat Humpsore in Cattle was named as ‘Dweep- GauMaa Rakshak’’and its detailed information was sent to the Animal Science SMD for wider circulation among institutes and KVKs. Four technologies such as Dweep Vertical structure for Mud Crab Fattening, Dweep vertical farming, Dweep larval rearing methodology for fresh water fancy guppy fish and Dweep tickure were finalised through series of ITMC meetings for further commercialisation. AKMU Cell
The Agriculture Knowledge Management Unit (AKMU) is dedicated inpromoting the use of ICT driven technology and disseminating information to all stakeholders in the agriculture and allied sectors. The unit’s main focus is on enhancing IT infrastructure at the institute level. Currently, the unit maintains a Local Area Network (LAN) that connects 120 nodes with 120 computers, which are distributed across different divisions and sections using optical fiber and CAT 6 cable. To ensure reliable internet connectivity for staff members to carry out their day-to-day tasks such as e-office work, ERP, and accessing online portals, a dedicated 40 Mbps leased line link has been established. AKMU effectively delivers and showcases various technologies, policies, and activities through its institute website(https://ciari.icar.gov.in) and other social media: FacebookTwitter and Youtube.
The major activities undertaken by the Agriculture Knowledge Management Unit (AKMU) during this period are as follows:
Updating of Institute website regularly, which is hosted at ICAR data centre (https://ciari.icar.gov.in).
Maintaining Desktop and other peripherals and upkeeping Local Area network of entire campus.
Procure, integrate and install various IT component and Software.
Manage Audio/ Video presentations at Conference Hall, Auditorium and Director’s Committee Room during workshop/ seminar/ lecture.
Assistance provided to staff to work e-office, ERP, eHRMS,GeM, PFMS, Smart Performance Appraisal Report Recording Online Window (SPARROW).
Updated research publication to Krishi Portal.
Maintained Aadhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AE-BAS).
During this period one International conference, one National conference and one workshop were organized in hybrid mode.
Estate Section
Creation of infrastructures such as polyhouse, green house, shade net house, goat shed, cattle shed, poultry shed, etc. for over all development and research activities of the Institute.
Creating water harvesting structures such as ponds, wells, check dam, roof water harvesting, etc. for irrigation and laboratory use.
Operation of pumps and filter units installed near pond behind engineering building for water distribution to the non-residential buildings.
Electrical repair and maintenance of residential and non-residential buildings.
Repair and maintenance of pipelines, plumbing and sanitary installations of residential and non-residential buildings
Water distribution to residential and non-residential buildings from ICAR-CIARI main tank at Rajaji Nagar, Garacharma.
Repair and maintenance of buildings, roads, boundary wall, etc.
Operation, repair and maintenance of stand by D.G. sets (180/250/320 KVA).
Repair and maintenance of Air conditioners, RO plants, water purifiers, etc.
