Quinquennial Review Team (QRT) constituted by ICAR, reviews the overall Institute’s performance including research once in five years.
QRT reviewed critically the performance of the Institute in terms of research and extension accomplishments, their relevance and socio-economic impact vis a vis its mandate, objectives and priorities spelled out in the ‘Vision 2025’ and “Vision 2030” documents.
The QRT also went through the performance assessment based on the document exclusively prepared for the QRT by the Institute along with annual progress reports and other publications and oral presentations by Heads of Departments. QRT also interacted with institute scientists, State Department Officials, and a cross section of farmers: visited laboratories and experimental plots, and looked into the ongoing extension activities of the Institute.
