The observance of the Vigilance Awareness Week commenced with the administration of ‘Integrity Pledge’ in bilingual (English & Hindi) to the staff of the of ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Regional Station Minicoy & KVK North & Middle Andaman. A total of 58 nos of staff participated.
In commemoration of Vigilance Awareness Week, an essay competition was organized for the staff on the pertinent theme of "Anti-corruption Measures for National Development" The event took place at Library on 31st. Oct 2023 as an initiative to promote awareness and engagement among employees regarding the pivotal role of anti-corruption measures for nation's development.
In an effort to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and preparedness, Dr. M. Balakrishnan, Principal Scientist , ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad a expert in the field, delivered a seminar on "Cybersecurity Measures" during Vigilance Awareness Week 2023. The seminar was organised for the staff of ICAR-CIARI at Dr T R Dutta Conference Hall on 02nd November 2023.
In an effort to raise awareness and engage the youth in the fight against corruption organized a "Together Against Corruption" Drawing and Essay Writing Competition for students. The competition aimed to empower students to express their views on this crucial issue and promote a culture of integrity and transparency. The competitions was held on 03rd Nov, 2023.
On November 09th 2023, an engaging workshop on "Preventive Vigilance" was successfully conducted by Dr. I.P. Sunish, Scientist-E and Vigilance Officer of ICMR-RMRC (Indian Council of Medical Research - Regional Medical Research Centre), Port Blair. This workshop served as an invaluable platform for participants to gain insights into preventing unethical practices, corruption, and fraud within organizations.
A training program on procurement best practices: Guarding against vigilance through transparency and compliance (complying through GFR 2017) by Shri. Gauranga Ghosh, Senior Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer at ICAR-RC-NEH (Indian Council of Agricultural Research - Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region) was organised on 10 November 2023 . The training program, conducted online, provided valuable insights into the procurement procedures under the Genera Financial Rules 2017.
In observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2023, a seminar on "RTI/Transparency/Good Governance Measures and Other Stakeholders" was delivered by Ragini Kumari, Assistant Professor of Andaman Law College on 13th Nov,2023. The seminar shed the light on the crucial aspects of Right to Information (RTI), transparency, and the various measures associated with good governance.
An awareness rally on vigilance was organised on 14th November, to Bathu Basti to spread awreness among the stakeholders .
The Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2023, an initiative dedicated to promote a culture of vigilance and ethical conduct, reached its pinnacle at the valedictory program held at T R Dutta Conference Hall on November 20, 2023.
