Central Island Agricultural Research Institute Employees Welfare Association (CIARIEWA) of ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair today organized a farewell function to bid farewell to Shri. M. Selvaraju, Skilled Supporting Staff of this Institute. He served for more than 39 years in the Institute and retired on 28th February, 2023 on attaining the age of superannuation.
Dr. Eaknath B. Chakurkar, Director and Patron, CIARIEWA in his presidential address placed on record the sincere service rendered by Shri. M. Selvaraju, Skilled Supporting Staff, while posting as Cook at Guest house. He suggested Mr. Raju to start a mess with experience gained with wife as manager at his home town. This will not only keep him busy and also ensure proper management of money by his wife. He also honored him with the shawl and a memento on the occasion.
Dr. S.K. Zamir Ahmed, Dr. Jai Sunder, Dr. P.K. Singh, Dr. T.P. Swarnam, Dr. Y. Ramakrishna and Shri. P. Simhachalam also expressed their views on the occasion. Earlier, Shri. M. Selvaraju shared his experiences of four decades of services at CIARI. At the outset, Shri Prakash Mondal welcomed the gathering and the programme ended with vote of thanks by Shri. P. Simhachalam. Shri K. Shyam Sundar Rao coordinated the conduct of the farewell function.
