CIARIEWA of ICAR-CIARI bids Farewell to Smti. Monica

CIARIEWA of ICAR- CIARI, Port Blair conducted a farewell on the occasion of superannuation of Smti. Monica, Skilled Supporting Staff on 31st January, 2022 at Dr. T. R. Dutta Conference Hall, ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair.

Dr.S. K Zamir Ahmed ,Principal Scientist & General Secretary introduced the house about the contribution made by the staff in technology transfer to tribal farmers of Nicobar and also in exchange of germplasm like Nicobari pig, Nicobari Fowl for its conservation at CIARI. Moreover, she will continue to act as an Ambassador for the Institute.

Dr. Debasis Bhattacharya, Dr. Jai Sunder, Dr. P.K.Singh, Dr Rama Krishna PS of the Institute and KVK Head spoke on the occasion and shared their views.

Smti. Monica, the Chief Guest on her superannuation has shared her valuable experience with feedback of more than three decades of services in the Division of Animal Science.. She also expressed her happiness over the conduct of the programme by CIARIEWA.

The Director and Patron, CIARIEWA, ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair, Dr. Eaknath B. Chakurkar graced the programme and appreciated the contribution made by Smti. Monica in the field of technology transfer and supporting the validation of scientific research especially in Nicobar District. In recognition of her services Patron CIARIEWA and Director, ICAR-CIARI handed over cheque and mementos as a token of appreciation on behalf of the Institute.

At the outset, Shri. Shyam Sundar Rao, Executive Member, CIARIEWA welcomed and coordinated the overall conduct of the programme and Shri P. Simhachlam Executive Member, CIARIEWA proposed a vote of thanks.
