CIARIEWA of ICAR-CIARI conducts Farewell to Dr.K.Venkatesan & Shri. Abdul Majeed
CIARIEWA of ICAR- CIARI, Port Blair conducted farewell on the occasion of Voluntary retirement of Shri. Abdul Majeed and transfer of Dr.K.Venkatesan, Senior Scientist from ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair to ICAR-NBPGR, Thrissur, Kerala on 30th August, 2022.
Dr. S. K Zamir Ahmed Principal Scientist & General Secretary introduced the house about contribution made by the staff serving in various capacity for the Institute. Heads/Incharges shared their experiences and appreciated for the long and productive services given by them.
Shri. Abdul Majeed and Dr.K.Venkatesan extended their gratitude for the support and affection acquired from ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair throughout their journey of service.
The Director and Patron, CIARIEWA, ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair, Dr. Eaknath B. Chakurkar graced the programme and appreciated the contribution made by Shri. Abdul Majeed for more than 3 decades and Dr.K.Venkatesan for five years towards the transformation and betterment of our Institute. He further suggested that he should act as an ambassador of the institute and look forward to revisit CIARI, Port Blair which is situated in the hotspot of biodiversity. Patron CIARIEWA and Director, ICAR-CIARI honoured them with a shawl and mementos as a token of appreciation and affection from the CIARIEWA.
At the end, Smti. Kakesh Rao Executive Member,CIARIEWA proposed vote of thanks and Shri Shyam Sundar Rao, Executive Member,CIARIEWA coordinated the overall conduct of the programme.
