It is medium duration (120 days) variety suitable for rainfed lowland conditions and released (2009) for cultivation in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It possesses medium bold grain with average productivity of 5.0 t/ha. The variety is non-lodging type (plant height of 110-125 cm), high panicles per m2 (257) and medium panicle length (25 cm) with moderate test weight. It is tolerant to sheath blight, leaf spot, bacterial light and water lodging.

It is a medium duration (120 days) variety suitable for rainfed lowland conditions and released (2009) for cultivation in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It possesses medium slender grain with average productivity of 4.5 t/ha. The variety is medium statured (115 cm), high panicles per m2 (261) and medium panicle length with moderate test weight. It is tolerant to sheath blight, bacterial blight, leaf spot and stem borer and is suitable for water lodging.

CARI Dhan 4

It is a long duration (140 days) salt tolerant variety suitable for rainfed lowland conditions and released (2009) for cultivation in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It possesses short bold grain with average productivity of 5.0 t/ha in normal soils and 3.2 t/ha in moderately saline conditions. The variety is medium statured (120 cm), high panicles per m2 (319) and medium panicle length with moderate test weight.

It is a long duration (145 days) salt tolerant variety suitable for rainfed lowland conditions and notified (2017) for cultivation in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It possesses short bold grain with average productivity of 5.5t/ha in normal soils and 3.5 t/ha in moderately saline conditions. The variety is medium statured (125 cm), high panicles per m2 (357) and medium panicle length with moderate test weight.

It is a medium duration (125 days), short statured (96.0cm) variety suitable for rainfed lowland conditions and developed (2013) for cultivation in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It possesses long slender grain with average productivity of 5.0 t/ha. The variety is non-lodging type, high panicles per m2 (276) and medium panicle length (24 cm) with moderate test weight. It is resistant to bacterial leaf blight, sheath blight and moderately resistant to leaf spot, stem borer.

It is a medium duration (130 days), short statured (100 cm) variety suitable for rainfed lowland conditions and developed (2013) for cultivation in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It possesses medium slender grain with average productivity of 5.5 t/ha. The variety is non-lodging type, high panicles per m2 (287) and medium panicle length (25 cm) with moderate test weight. It is resistant to bacterial leaf blight, sheath blight and moderately resistant for leaf spot, stem borer.

CARI Dhan 8

It is long duration (215 days) photo-sensitive variety suitable for rainfed lowland conditions and released (2017) for cultivation in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It possesses short bold grain (yellowish and shining) with average productivity of 3.5 t/ha. The variety is tall (plant height of 188 cm), high panicles per m2 (276) and long panicle length (29 cm) with moderate test weight. It is suitable for low input management conditions and also gives good straw yield for fodder purpose.

CARI Dhan 9

It is long duration (216 days) photo-sensitive variety suitable for rainfed lowland conditions and released (2017) for cultivation in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It possesses short bold grain (brown) with average productivity of 3.2 t/ha. The variety is tall (plant height of 200 cm), high panicles per m2 (256) and long panicle length (29 cm) with moderate test weight. It is suitable for low input management conditions and also gives good straw yield for fodder purpose.
