Member of Parliament, U.T of Lakshadweep visit at Regional Station, ICAR- CIARI, Minicoy, Lakshadweep

Hon'ble Member of Parliament, U.T of Lakshadweep, Adv. Hamdullah Sayeed, visited ICAR-CIARI Regional Station, Minicoy on 12th July 2024. He expressed his happiness on the technological intervention of Regional Station, towards livelihood security of Lakshadweep communities through research, extension and outreach activities. He conveyed happiness on Integrated Farming System (IFS) demonstration unit, and vegetable, fruit, fodder intercropping in coconut orchard. He emphasized on the technology demonstration of IFS in future land-limited multi- crop production to improve the nutritional security of island people. He also witnessed the Fish Aggregating device deployed by ICAR-CIARI to enhance the tuna fish productivity in Minicoy. He interacted with the staff members of the regional station and appreciated the ICAR for the overall effort.
