Central Island Agricultural Research Institute Employees Welfare Association (CIARIEWA) of ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair, organized a function on 31st January 2024, to bid farewell to Shri. P.K. Roy, Assistant Administrative Officer on attaining the age of superannuation.
Dr. Eaknath B. Chakurkar, Director and Patron, CIARIEWA in his presidential address expressed placed on record the seminal services of Shri P.K. Roy, AAO. He suggested to spend quality time by exercising his talent towards practicing yoga, healthy lifestyle, income tax consultant etc. and be active in his new area of service. He concluded his speech by asking him to teach the juniors on the nitty gritty of office procedure for enhancing the work performance. He was honoured with a shawl and memento by the Patron, CIARIEWA on the occasion.
Dr. S.K. Zamir Ahmed, General Secretary, CIARIEWA, gave a brief description about the guest profile, service of more than 34 years and significant contribution made on assigned job both at Kolkata and Port Blair. Dr. Jai Sunder, Dr. P.K. Singh, Dr. Abhilash, Shri. Sridham Kumar Biswas, Shri. Prakash Mondal, Shri. Shyam Narayan and Shri. Tapan Kumar Shit also spoke and shared their experiences.
The Chief Guest of the day Shri P.K. Roy emotionally thanked each and every one of the CIARIEWA family with folded hands.
At the outset Dr. K. Saravanan, Joint Secretary, CIARIEWA welcomed the gathering and the programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Shri Thanmai Paul, Executive member, CIARIEWA. Shri Shyam Sunder Rao, Executive member, CIARIEWA coordinated the conduct of the function at Dr.T.R. Dutta Conference hall of Garacharma Research Complex, ICAR_CIARI, Port Blair.
