With an objective to inculcate Scientific temperament among the students of Class X to XII of South Andaman, ICAR -CIARI under the aegis of Agricultural Education Day conducted a scientist student interaction program by visiting three schools of South Andaman on 29th Nov, 2022 for the benefit of the aspiring students.
Scientific teams comprising of Dr. V.Baskaran, Principal Scientist & Dr. K.Abirami, Sr. Scientist interacted with the students of St. Mary School, Bathu Basti . Dr. T.Subramani, Sr. Scientist , Shri. D Karunakaran, Scientist with the students of Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Garacharma. Dr. Prakasananda Bala, Sr. Scientist , Shri. J.Praveen Raj, Scientist with the students of Govt. Sr. Secondary Scool, Bathubasti . Students were sensitize on different options available as a career in agriculture and allied field both in government and private sector. Besides, the students were encouraged to become entrepreneur in the respective field. The visiting team expressed the gratitude to the Principal and the teachers for the support in conduct of the program. Around 277 students got benefitted .
The program was coordinated by Dr. S K Zamir Ahmed , Nodal Officer (AED), Dr. Jaya Kumaravaradan and Shri. D Karunakaran organising Secretaries under the plan & guidance of Dr. Eaknath B Chakurkar, Director ICAR-CIARI.
